Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Al Forsan International Sports Resort was proud to welcome a host of
regional media this morning for an informative pre-event press conference, hosted by Rashed Al
Qubaisi, Managing Director of Al Forsan, who reiterated his support and excitement for the upcoming
wakeboarding events.
Al Forsan International Sports Resort recently announced that it will be hosting the fifth year of the
WWA World Wake Park Championships from Wednesday, November 4th to Friday, November 6th. Al
Forsan will also host a National competition on Friday, October 30th allowing wakeboarders of a range of
categories and ages the chance to compete and represent the UAE during the championships.
Rashed Al Qubaisi said during the press conference: ‘We are honoured to set the stage for what is sure
to be an incredible event, which will see a host of international extreme-athletes competing at the
highest level. With our top-of-the-range cable park offering competitors a distinct challenge,
participants from all over the globe will have perform to the best of their ability if they are to experience
wake boarding glory.

Fadel Al Mansouri, Director of Adu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) added that: ‘We are very excited to be

Whilst he was not able to attend the press conference, Omeir Saeed, Emirati wakeboarding champion
stated that: ‘Last year I was the first Emirati to make it into a pro-men finals, and this year I hope do to
the best I can. You never know what might happen when you are riding against the best in the world,
but I am looking forward to the event at Al Forsan International Sports Resort.’
